Hardware binding properties allow IntelliProtector to detect when the license code is not used on the computer it was initially used. IntelliProtector service can block a license code automatically if too many computers use one license during the timeframe, configured on the Registration tab page.

IntelliProtector detects the computer which the software is launched on. The license code is locked up only if it is used on the computer, which is different from the computer it was used for the first time. The code is not locked up if it is used on one and the same computer. IntelliProtector starts to collect statistics of activations and registrations only when software is launched on different computers.

Trial time lift is also detected by the hardware key and stored on the server. So the trial start date is calculated from the time of the first software installation. In case all hardware binding options are disabled, the trial timeframe expires by default.

We recommend you to enable at least one hardware binding property.
