You need to perform several simple steps in order to start your effective software protection:

1. Launch your copy of IntelliProtector client.
2. Open the active project that needs to be protected in the Projects panel on the left side of the main window.
3. Select the Modules to be protected in the Modules tab:
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Now you can adjust the software distribution settings and configure the software activation, software registration or license renewal options with the help of the Trial periods and Pop-ups tabs:
   
   
   
   
   
5. Set up the additional protection options in the Protection tab:
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Finally, click the Protect Project button in the bottom-left corner in order to start the protection process.

How do you configure the software activation?
Software activation is a one-time process that enables software to run. In short, activation window pops-up every time the software is launched once the trial period is over. The activation can be set only for the software with the trial period.

In order to setup the trial period and activation type you need to perform the following steps:

1. Open the Trial periods tab and choose:
   • Trial period by time – in this case, the countdown for the activation starts from the moment the software is installed.
   • Trial period by the number of launches – the software is run the limited number of times before the activation is started.
   • Additionally you can choose to renew the trial period for each version.
2. Once you set up the trial period mode you need to adjust pop-ups settings in the Pop-ups tab.
   
   
   
   
   
   

How do you set the software registration?
Software registration is a one-time process that enables software to run after the trial period. In short, after the trial period, the registration requires the license code to run the software in the full-featured mode. The registration can be set independently of the trial period. In order to setup the trial period and registration type you need to do the following steps:

1. Open the Trial periods tab and choose:
• Trial period by time – in this case, the countdown for the activation starts from the moment the software is installed.
• Trial period by the number of launches – the software is run the limited number of times before the activation is started.
• Additionally you can choose to renew the trial period for each version.

How do you set the license renewal?

1. You can choose one of two types of license renewal for the customers: directly using the Internet connection or by e-mail if you do not guarantee the Internet protection for the future software purchasers.
2. In order to perform a license renewal, the customer needs to perform several simple steps:
   1. Open license renewal pop-up window.
   2. Specify license code (which should be renewed)
   3. Specify renewal code
   4. Click Renew.
